Rhodes, Eastern Cape
Rhodes town, Eastern Cape has a white population of approximately 22 people and an African population in Zakhele Township (a stone’s throw away) of about 480 people.
A Black rural school serves the community under the leadership of Piet Steyn.
The communities of both Rhodes and Zakhele have a shared goal along with PVI to establish a church. A primary health care clinic has been installed by PVI in the form of a Containerised Medical Unit. The clinic is being utilised by the local Health Department and serves the community once a week.
